Ingrid
Coach · Singer · Songwriter
I finally became sober from alcohol after beginning writing and songwriting in New York City ten years ago. I released an EP called Break Free in 2018, and although I did not become a rockstar in middle age, I did become curious about the power of creating on healing mental health and addiction.
As a former licensed psychotherapist, I became interested in using creative work as a road to recovery — without focusing on addiction, or on any problem, but on creation.
Not everyone wants to be a songwriter, or even a writer, but the creative medium is not the point. It’s focusing on what makes you come alive. This does not even have to be artistic creation — it can also be starting a business.
Starting a business is something I also put off for many years, until now, where I combine my background in psychotherapy with creative work as the road to healing, self-development, and self-sufficiency.
Where the world is headed now, to be a self-sufficient creator is not just a lifestyle choice, but a way to thrive in an uncertain world.
Two ways to begin.
If you have been meaning to leave a way of life that is unfulfilling and replace it with what you have dreamed about — and perhaps even build a business around it — but have not yet taken the first step, consider The Dreamcatcher Journey.
